The club charges a norminal membership fee and doesn't have a formal hierarchy. It does require members share cooking tasks according to their culinary skills. It’s open source technology as applied to food and wine. The club’s founder acts as a coordinator and organises the meets. Membership is open to Pune residents only.

Pune Gourmet Club organised India’s first ever wine tasting festival in Dec 2007 which attracted over a 1,000 visitors. The second edition of the festival in 2008 saw footfalls of more than 2,000. It plans to organise festivals in other cities also.
Members of the club have incorporated Monsoon Winds Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. to undertake commercial activities in wine related businesses. The Company will organise wine festivals in major cities across India. We intend to manage wine bars, promote vineyard tours, sell exclusive and limited edition Indian wines under our own label and market wine preservation systems.
